You may be one of those farmers we still see from time to time who prefers a stockhorse to a farmbike, or perhaps you ride competitively in horse sports such as polo, showjumping, dressage, rodeo or endurance racing. Perhaps trekking is your thing? Maybe you are just happy to hack around the farm, the country roads or your own lifestyle block enjoying the beauty of our Waikato scenery from the back of a horse.
Because as Winston Churchill once said, "No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle."
But even for those of us who do not ride, there is no animal so delightful as a horse or pony just as a family pet.
